Track Session: Interval Training
The session involves shorter intervals with recovery sets. Our coach sets up a track session on the netball courts and guides you through the session.

This session is suitable for all levels of runners from beginners through to advanced. Everyone is doing the same session and we are all working to time not distance, so work at your own level.

Levels:
Intermediate/Advanced Runners: For each working set run at the the highest intensity you can for the duration of time.
Beginner Runners: Run at your normal running pace, no intensity required.

Session Details:
Coach Lead Strength warm up to begin...
Then we start the Track Session:

2 minutes On
90 seconds recovery (return to start corner)
3 minutes On
90 seconds recovery (return to start corner)
4 minutes On
90 seconds recovery (return to start corner)
5 minutes On
90 seconds recovery (return to start corner)
5 minutes On
90 seconds recovery (return to start corner)
4 minutes On
90 seconds recovery (return to start corner)
3 minutes On
90 seconds recovery (return to start corner)
2 minutes On
Recover and stretch

What to bring to the session:
  • GPS watch, or a watch with a stopwatch function
  • Appropriate running gear for the conditions
Session Logistics:
  1. Please book into the session
  2. Please be at the session at least 5-10mins before the start. 
  3. When you arrive please "check in" with the coach taking the attendance
  4. Any gear is your own responsibility, we will look after your car keys
  5. Our coach will outline the session format in the session briefing before we begin.
